If Your Life Were a Movie, What Would You See?

“Okay, picture this: your life is a movie.

A camera’s on you 24/7. No edits, no filters, no highlight reel. Just raw footage of your daily routines, your habits, your moods, your choices.

Now here’s the question: if you sat down with popcorn and actually watched it back… would you be entertained?

Would you be proud of the main character?

Or would you be like, ‘Wait… did they really just scroll TikTok for three hours and call it a day?’

Maybe your movie’s got a little bit of both the messy scenes of procrastination, mixed with those small but powerful moments of discipline.

The truth is, when we’re stuck inside the movie, we can’t see it clearly. We’re distracted, busy, half-asleep. But the second you zoom out? You start noticing the patterns. And that’s where the magic happens.

That’s why I created this exercise I call: ‘Your Life is Your Movie.’ It’s super simple, but it changes everything.

First — meet the main character. That’s you. No edits, no filter. Just ask: how do they show up? Confident, kind, distracted, tired? Do they walk into a room with good energy, or do they drag the vibe down?

Second — a day in the life. How’s their morning? Do they wake up ready, or do they hit snooze like it’s their side hustle? When no one’s watching, are they doing something meaningful, or just numbing out?

Third — the setting. What’s the vibe of their world? Calm, inspiring, chaotic, draining? And who’s in their orbit — hype squad or energy vampires?

And finally, every film has a mood. So what’s the vibe of yours? Inspiring? Stuck on repeat? Building toward something epic?

Here’s the best part: you’re not just the main character, you’re the director. Which means if you don’t like the script, you can rewrite it — starting today.

It doesn’t have to be huge. One small change, one new habit, one little decision. That’s how the story shifts.
